Charlie Beckett is the director of POLIS, an initiative of the London School of Economics aimed at journalists, people in public life and students in the UK and around the world. POLIS is the place where journalists and others can examine and discuss the media and its impact on society. Charlie Beckett is the first director of POLIS and teaches at the LSE. He has 20 years of experience with LWT, BBC and ITN’s Channel 4 News and broadcasts and writes regularly on media and political affairs.
