Franco Di Mare is co-presenter with Sonia Grey of the weekend current affairs and chat show Sabato & Domenica on RAI 1. He was previously foreign correspondent of RAI 1 News and RAI 2 News, reporting on wars in the Balkans, the Middle East, Iraq and Afghanistan. Since 2003 he has been a presenter of various programmes on RAI 1 including Uno Mattina Estate, Uno Mattina week end and Uno Mattina. He is the author of Il cecchino e la bambina. Emozioni e ricordi di un inviato di guerra (2009). RAI is the Italian public service broadcaster.
