Francesco Faranda, professional journalist since 1973, worked for daily Il Corriere della Sera for twenty years until last December. In 2004 with Rcs Quotidiani Group, the Catania Province, the city of Santa Venerina and the four Sicilian universities he organized the Maria Grazia Cutuli International Journalism Award. Two years ago the Maria Grazia Cutuli Foundation was founded by the Cutuli family, Rcs, Catania province, city of Santa venerina, city of Rome, Banca Nuova, Sicily Region, Confindustria Sicilia, National Press Federation and National Order of Journalists. Faranda is currently vice president of the foundation.
