Jonathan Gosier is an American software developer, writer, social entrepreneur and the founder of Appfrica.org and a TED Fellow. Appfrica employs East African software entrepreneurs to create jobs and prevent brain-drain. Jon is currently the Director of SwiftRiver at Ushahidi. Swift is a platform that allows for the curation and verification of real-time news. He’s also worked on a number of other innovations for the developing world, including QuestionBox.org, ResultSMS and Ujima.
