Gianni Lannes is the director of the online local news magazine italiaterranostra.it which deals with news in the Foggia area in southern Italy. His car has been set alight outside his house on a number of occasions and he has received threats to his life as a result of his journalistic activities. He is the author of NATO: colpito e affondato. La tragedia insabbiata del Francesco Padre (2009). He now lives under police protection.
