Gianni Perrelli writes reportages from abroad for L’Espresso and daily Il Fatto Quotidiano. He previously worked as a sports journalist for Corriere dello Sport and New York correspondent for L’Europeo and L’Espresso. He was also editor of the sports weekly Special. He has written essays and novels, and has covered nine football world cups and six Olympic games. His breakthrough interview with football coach Zdenek Zeman began the investigations on drug use in professional football.
