Osservatorio Balcani
Luca Rastello is editor of the online magazine Osservatorio Balcani and a journalist of the Italian daily La Repubblica. He has reported from the former Yugoslavia, the Caucasus region, Central Asia, the Horn of Africa and Latin America. He is the author of La guerra in casa (1998), Piove all’insù (2006) and Io sono il mercato (2009). The Osservatorio Balcani was set up in 2000 in response to the demand for knowledge and debate with people, associations and institutions that for years had promoted peace and social cohabitation in the Balkans. It is now an electronic media research centre and think-tank focused on South-East Europe, Turkey and the Caucasus.
