Silvia Resta was born in Rome in May 1956. A television journalist, she first worked for private television broadcaster Telemontecarlo, which later became La7, where she is special correspondent for the news. For years she has covered judiciary news by making reportages and investigations on the mafia, terrorism and crime. She published the book Alfonso Sabella, cacciatore di mafiosi (2008) and La bomba di Firenze (2009).
