Gianni Riotta is editor of the leading Italian business daily Il Sole 24 Ore. He was previously director of RAI 1 News from 2006 to 2009 and New York correspondent of the Italian dailies Corriere della Sera, La Stampa and the Italian weekly L’Espresso. He is author of Cambio di stagione (1991), Ultima dea (1994), Ombra (1995), the novel Principe delle nuvole (1997), N. Y. Undici settembre (2001), Alborada (2002) and La I Guerra Globale (2003). RAI is the Italian public service broadcaster.
