Fabio Tamburini began his career at Teleregione in the second half of the 80's, and later moved on to print news in collaboration with daily newspapers Il Secolo XIX and Il Giorno at the Rome headquarters, specializing in topics regarding the Italian superior council of the magistrature. From 1992 to 2001 he worked at TG1 news as a reporter, and was their correspondent in Bosnia, Kosovo, earthquake in the Umbria and Marche regions and earthquake in Turkey. In 2001 he is called by Gad Lerner to participate in the founding of the private tv channel La7 as special correspondent. He covered the attack on the Twin Towers, the San Giuliano earthquake in Puglia, and the invasion of Iraq in 2003 from Kuwait. He then hosted one season of the successful show Stargate Linea di Confine. A few months later, he accepted the invitation by tv host and producer Maurizio Costanzo to create a team of journalists for the Mediaset tv network to cover large media events. In those years, he followed attacks in Madrid, and as chief editor he covered the news for Costanzo in his shows. Author and curator of the Corti (Shorts) reports and a historical-journalistic documentary on the Templars in southern Italy, he moved on to TG5 news in 2007, where he also created a series of investigative reports of 5 episodes each, inside the TG5 editions: unsolved murders, ethnic mafia in Italy, frontiers, counterfitting. Since last October he is anchor of the TG5 news at night.
