Andrea Vogt is an Italy-based freelance journalist and author. Her work has appeared in various print and broadcast media, including The Independent, Seattlepi.com, Der Spiegel, National Geographic Traveller and the Italian weekly Panorama. She has been interviewed for ABC 20/20, CBS Sunday Morning, Good Morning America and Nancy Grace. Her news analysis in Italian has appeared on La7, TG1, RAI24 and Sky TG24. On the radio, her reports have aired on BBC, Northwest Public Radio and Sirius XM Radio. She began reporting on the Meredith Kercher murder in Perugia in November 2007 for the Seattle Post-Intelligencer and continued covering the Amanda Knox murder trial from the courtroom throughout 2009 when the newspaper became the online news organization seattlepi.com. She is currently researching and documenting five other murder cases in Italy involving women. Andrea is author of Common Courage: Bill Wassmuth, Human Rights and Small Town Activism (2003) and Bologna Inside (2006).
