Barbara Serra nata a Milano nel 1975, papà sardo e mamma siciliana, si trasferisce a Copenhagen a 9 anni. Nel 1993 si trasferisce a Londra per studiare e affrontare la carriera giornalistica. Dal 2006 è conduttrice del telegiornale Al-Jazeera International a Londra. È stata tra i principali conduttori di Channel Five News nel Regno Unito, tanto da diventare la prima e l’unica presentatrice non di madre lingua inglese di un telegiornale in prima serata nel Regno Unito. Ha lavorato per la BBC, la CNN e Sky News prima di passare a Channel Five.
Barbara Serra is an Italian-born British-based journalist and TV news presenter on Al-Jazeera English. She was previously one of the main presenters of Channel Five News in the UK, so becoming the first, and to date the only, second-language English speaker to present a flagship news programme on terrestrial British television. Before Channel Five she worked as a reporter with the BBC and with Sky News.
