Co-founders Stephan Faris and Marc Herman present DECA, a writer’s cooperative creating longform stories from around the world. Inspired by the photo agencies of the mid-twentieth century, this group of established non-fiction authors collaborates to fund, edit and market deeply-reported, 10,000 to 20,000-word non-fiction. The stories are sold in digital format directly for e-readers, tablets and smartphones. Over the hour, Faris and Herman will explain the who, what, why and how of DECA’s unique cooperative model and announce the group's first stories, coming in May.
