Luca Sofri scrive per Il Foglio e l'Unità, per le riviste Vanity Fair, GQ e Wired. Nel 2002 è stato conduttore insieme a Giuliano Ferrara del programma d’attualità Otto e mezzo, in onda su La7 e nel 2005 ha condotto un programma di approfondimento storico Passato prossimo, sempre sulla stessa rete. Fino al 2009 è stato inoltre speaker radiofonico del programma Condor, in onda su RAI Radio 2. Scrive sul blog Wittgenstein ed è autore del libro Playlist. La musica è cambiata (2008).
