Nicola Kuhrt is a science journalist and co-founder of MedWatch.de - the online magazine for evidence-based medical journalism. She also writes for Stern, Hirschhausen's Gesund leben and ZEIT, among others. From 2012 to 2015, she was editor and deputy head of the science department at Spiegel online. She is a laureate of the Peter Hans Hofschneider Award and winner of the Best Cancer Reporter Award. In 2015, she was Science Journalist of the Year. Nicola Kuhrt is a Media Doctor reviewer, on the board of the Science Press Conference and has chaired the jury of the Memento Prize for Neglected Diseases since 2016. In April 2021, she published the book Fakten-Check Impfen (Gräfer & Unzer) together with Prof. Cornelia Betsch and Dr. Jan Oude-Aost.
