Fabio Tamburini ha iniziato la sua carriera presso Teleregione nella seconda metà degli anni '80, per poi passare alla carta stampata e a collaborare con Il Secolo XIX e Il Giorno nelle redazioni romane, con specializzazione nei temi della magistratura superiore. Dal 1992 al 2001 è al TG1 nella redazione cronaca per la quale viene inviato in Bosnia, Kosovo, terremoto in Umbria e Marche e terremoto in Turchia. Nel 2001 viene chiamato da Gad Lerner a partecipare alla fondazione di La7 con la qualifica di inviato speciale. Segue da New York l'attentato alle Torri Gemelle, il terremoto di San Giuliano di Puglia e dal Kuwait l'invasione dell'Iraq nel 2003. Conduce poi una stagione della fortunata trasmissione Stargate Linea di Confine. Pochi mesi dopo accetta l'invito di Maurizio Costanzo che crea per Mediaset una squadra di giornalisti destinata alla copertura di grandi eventi. Segue in quegli anni gli attentati di Madrid, e in qualità di caporedattore cura per Costanzo le news all'interno dei suoi programmi. Autore e curatore dei Corti di cronaca e di un documentario storico-giornalistico sui Templari nel sud Italia, passa nel 2007 al TG5, dove realizza tra l'altro inchieste, ciascuna in cinque puntate, all'interno delle edizioni del TG5: delitti irrisolti, mafie etniche in Italia, frontiere, contraffazione. Dallo scorso Ottobre è conduttore dell'edizione del TG5 Notte.

Fabio Tamburini began his career at Teleregione in the second half of the 80's, and later moved on to print news in collaboration with daily newspapers Il Secolo XIX and Il Giorno at the Rome headquarters, specializing in topics regarding the Italian superior council of the magistrature. From 1992 to 2001 he worked at TG1 news as a reporter, and was their correspondent in Bosnia, Kosovo, earthquake in the Umbria and Marche regions and earthquake in Turkey. In 2001 he is called by Gad Lerner to participate in the founding of the private tv channel La7 as special correspondent. He covered the attack on the Twin Towers, the San Giuliano earthquake in Puglia, and the invasion of Iraq in 2003 from Kuwait. He then hosted one season of the successful show Stargate Linea di Confine. A few months later, he accepted the invitation by tv host and producer Maurizio Costanzo to create a team of journalists for the Mediaset tv network to cover large media events. In those years, he followed attacks in Madrid, and as chief editor he covered the news for Costanzo in his shows. Author and curator of the Corti (Shorts) reports and a historical-journalistic documentary on the Templars in southern Italy, he moved on to TG5 news in 2007, where he also created a series of investigative reports of 5 episodes each, inside the TG5 editions: unsolved murders, ethnic mafia in Italy, frontiers, counterfitting. Since last October he is anchor of the TG5 news at night.
