Anant Nath
Anant Nath is Editor of The Caravan and Executive Publisher of Delhi Press, India’s leading magazine publishing house. He started the magazine Caravan in 2010 shaping it as a publication dedicated to long form narrative journalism. Today it is amongst the most respected publications from South Asia, known for its bold investigative reportage on politics and business as well as its nuanced coverage of arts and literature.
He is the former president of the Editors Guild of India, the most senior body of editors and journalists in the country, where he led various efforts to protect the space for press freedom in India, including judicial interventions and petitions, representations to governments, statements, programs and seminars, and organising collective action. He is also a former president of the Association of Indian Magazines, the national association for magazine publishers. He studied Management at IIM Lucknow and Political Science at Columbia University, New York.
