Eugene Zaslavsky
Eugene Zaslavsky is the Executive Director of the Media Development Foundation (MDF), a Ukrainian media non-profit that helps nonpartisan professional media continue to operate in war-affected areas and produce meaningful journalism, re-launch/launch of community-oriented media outlets. MDF helps communities overcome trauma through journalism reports and empowers responsible community media.
Eugene started his career as a journalist in Luhansk in 2007, and soon founded with independent journalists one of the first local digital media and media development organizations for the Donbas region in Eastern Ukraine. He is also a Lecturer in Media Management at the Department of Journalism of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
