Franz Wild is the CEO and editor-in-chief of the Bureau of Investigative Journalism in the UK. The Bureau has developed deep expertise in paper-trail reporting, exposing several vast corruption, corporate wrongdoing and abuse of justice scandals. The Bureau is part of a number of international collaborative investigations groups and has pioneered a number of effective impact strategies. As well as significant impact, the Bureau's work has been recognised with several prestigious awards under Franz's leadership.

Before joining the Bureau, Franz was a reporter with Bloomberg investigating the intersection between business and politics, and grand corruption. His investigations resulted in a number of enforcement actions including sanctions and substantial penalties against major corporations.
