
Jeremy Caplan is Director of Teaching and Learning at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY, where he leads the school’s Entrepreneurial Journalism Creators Program — a 100-day online curriculum for independent journalists worldwide. A former reporter at TIME, Jeremy wrote hundreds of stories spanning digital innovation and labor. He also publishes Wonder Tools, a widely-read newsletter featuring the most useful digital tools for journalists and educators.
He was a Ford Fellow in Entrepreneurial Journalism at the Poynter Institute, a Wiegers Fellow at Columbia Business School, where he completedhis MBA, and a Knight-Bagehot Fellow at the Columbia Journalism School, where he earned an M.S. in Journalism. He lives in New York City with his wife and two daughters.
