Tiziana Terranvoa is Professor in Sociology of Communications at the University of Naples. She was previously Lecturer in Media, Culture and Film, Department of Sociology, University of Essex, UK from 2000 to 2006. She was a 2017 Fulbright Distinguished Lecturer and Chair in Italian Studies at Northwestern University, USA. She is the author of Network culture: politics for the information age (2004) and the forthcoming Hypersocial: A Genealogy of Digital Social Networks. (University of Minnesota Press). She is also the author of numerous articles and essays in academic journals.
