Oliver Schroem co-developed the idea of ​​CORRECTIV, his wife invented the name, and in 2018 he finally joined the company as editor-in-chief. Oliver is one of the most renowned investigative journalists in Germany and author and co-author of ten books, including several bestsellers. He has received several awards for his research. In 2010, he founded Stern's investigative team and headed it until he joined the ARD magazine Panorama. For the ZDF magazine Mark D he revealed spies, terror cells and neo-Nazi networks. With his star team, he revealed betting fraud in professional football, pointed out connections of the rapper Bushido to organized crime and tracked down, in 2014, the Panama account of the former CDU treasurer Helmut Linssen. At Panorama, he reported together with colleagues on the Cumex Files investigation about German financial fraudsters and banks, the largest tax theft of post-war history, and revealed criminal machinations in cancer medicine.
