Xanthe Scharff is CEO and Cofounder of The Fuller Project, a nonprofit journalism organization dedicated to global reporting on issues that impact women. The Fuller Project is an award-winning team of ten reporters in seven cities around the world and in the US, publishing hundreds of articles with the world's leading news outlets.

Xanthe is also the Founder and Board Chair Emeritus of Advancing Girls’ Education in Africa, a thriving nonprofit in East Africa which has served 3000 girls with secondary school opportunities. The Obama Foundation, CBS’s The Early Show, Voice of America, The Christian Science Monitor, and African media outlets have featured the organization’s award-winning work.

In 2019 Xanthe was named top 40 under 40 by the Leadership Center for Excellence. Formerly, Xanthe was the Associate Director of the Center for Universal Education at Brookings, and was a fellow at the United States Institute of Peace. Based out of Washington DC, her multi-media reporting features in TIME, Newsweek, Foreign Policy, and other outlets.
