Alessandro Alviani is the Product Lead for Natural Language Processing at Ippen Media in Germany. His work focuses on building AI-driven products for editors. He was previously the Editorial Director and Coordinator for Microsoft News in Berlin. Before that, he served as the Germany correspondent for the Italian newspaper La Stampa. As a JournalismAI fellow in 2022, he worked on creating a tool and methodology to help journalists identify manipulated narratives propagated by state-controlled media and track their spread on social media platforms such as Twitter. He is based in Berlin.
